On this day in 1908, Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 7 was premiered in Prague. The least-performed of his symphonies, it contains a wonderfully creative sound-palate; the orchestration includes instruments like the Tenor horn (a sort of mini-Tuba), the Guitar and the Mandolin.
